Steps to remove the headphone jack, front facing camera, and the microphone from the device.
The front-facing camera cable connector is secured with pieces of tape that wrap up around the sides of the cable and are fastened to two small metal plates.
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the lower metal plate up from the front-facing camera cable connector.
Being careful not to break the plate or the tape attached to it, pry it up and fold it away from the front-facing camera cable connector.
Use a plastic opening tool to pry the front-facing camera cable's connector up from its socket on the logic board.
Use a set of tweezers to remove any tape covering the front-facing camera cable clips.
Use a plastic opening tool to fold the front-facing camera cable clips outward, away from the cable, freeing the cable connector.
Use a plastic opening tool to lift the front-facing camera straight up off of its socket on the logic board.
Be sure to only pry on the connector, not the socket itself.
Use the tip of a spudger to pry the front-facing camera housing up and lift it out of the case.
Slide one end of a set of tweezers under the microphone cable and pull it out of its socket.
Use a set of tweezers to carefully peel up both sections of the dual microphone.
Remove the microphone from the iPad.
Using a spudger disconnect the back facing camera from the logic board.
The Headphone jack only has 1 screw holding it into place. Remove this screw.
Slide the spudger along the ribbon cable to free it from the adhesive holding it on the backplate.
Gently pull the headphone jack connector from the backplate.
Using tweezers pull the microphone connector from the logic board.
Be careful not to be too hard on the microphone and gently pull it away from the backplate.
