Parker Abrams

Parker is a second year Film Production and English major at Shenandoah University.

Rachel is the Lead Four Year Old Preschool Teacher at the child care center for Shenandoah University.

Jenna Eckenrod

Jenna is a sophomore at Shenandoah University double majoring in English and Dance. Her work is inspired by ideas of interpersonal relationships, as well as internal dialogue in relation to what coming home and being there means.

Natalie Gales

Natalie is a sophomore studying media and communications and Spanish. When she isn't writing, she enjoys going on walks, performing in the marching band, and reading fantasy novels.

Kaitlyn Grover

Kaitlyn is a sophomore Exercise Science major, who is looking into studying Physical Therapy. This is her first work she has submitted to Avalon, which she wrote in ARVR Narrative Design and Storytelling. Her favorite genres are horror, action, and fantasy.

Ali Gue

Ali is a senior Media and Communications major and triple minor at Shenandoah University. She is a passionate writer and photographer with the hope of one day becoming a published author.

Tanya Gupta

Tanya began working as an Access Services & Facilities Assistant at Smith Library in August 2022. Tanya is a children’s book illustrator who loves making whimsical art with sparkles of joy, knowledge, and fun in equal measures. She was drawn to the fascinating world of illustration after studying Multimedia and 2D Animation. Her illustrations have been published in children's books, educational books, wedding invitations, and packaging designs. When she’s not working, she can be found drinking tea, crafting/DIY & watching movies/series.

Nora is a sophomore English major Writing minor at SU. She works in several organizations and clubs to create and expand the writing community here on campus.

Axel is a senior Musical Theatre major with an intense love of fantasy and literary creativity. Having declared a writing minor in an effort to better understand this art, he dreams of pursuing editorial and publishing work in Science fiction and fantasy...while hunting the 17th shard of Adonalsium as a side gig.

Malia is an Exercise Science Major following a Biology and Professional & Popular Writing minor at Shenandoah University. She finds herself recently practicing new literary works to pursue her passion for writing.

Zoe is a junior acting major in the conservatory who enjoys writing in their free time.

Noah is a transfer, third-year Computer Science major and Music-Voice minor at Shenandoah University. He finds inspiration for his work in his environment and experiences.

Ashley Simmons

Ashley is the Admin Assistant for Dean Coker in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is in her second year at Shenandoah now and sees herself being here for many more years. In addition to her assigned workload, she enjoys the students that come to visit her on a daily basis and hopes she makes their days a little brighter!

Julia is a senior English major and Professional & Popular Writing minor at Shenandoah University. Her work has previously appeared in Avalon, and she's the president of the Writers' Club. She finds inspiration in nature and imagination.

Anneliese Walrath

Hailing from South Florida, Anneliese relocated to Winchester to study music at Shenandoah Conservatory. Anneliese is an avid cat lover, crocheter, and coffee drinker.

Katherine Weinhold

Katherine Weinhold is a junior studying business management with plans to add on psychology as a double major. Her creative endeavors extend from writing to film including working on the feature film at SU last spring. She dedicates herself to service hopes that her work in life will continue to help others.
