Did you know you can get notifications when gmail arrives - puts little icon in your menu bar and beeps if you want it to. Also works for events in G calendar

Put your photos to good use, Posterino allows you to create posters from your images in iPhoto that look good and can easily be changed every couple of months

Apimac timer - time all sorts of things! Links to your iTunes music. I use it for rotations - music plays on time & kids move on.

Best FREE app: Simplenote. It has an accompanying website & syncs both ways with the iTune app. To really utilise it install both the app and sign in on the web

Using HDR for photography on iPhone 4. It takes two photos at the same time and blends them. Way kewl.

Screen share any mac: System prefs/Sharing/remote management turn on sharing and set prefs
Then go to /System/Library/CoreServices and drag Screen Sharing

Drag any icon (app, document, folder) to top of a finder window to create a shortcut to it from any other window. Let it sit on top of the window for a few secs
