Fourth Tip: Apple + Tab: Fantastic tool especially when you need to go from a keynote to using a doc cam and then to the internet and then back to the keynote. Sixth Tip: Creating your own drums sounds using musical keyboards.Every midi keyboard is mapped out to a specific order of instruments. When using the "Musical Typing Keyboard A is always the Bass or Kick drum. D is always the Snare drum and T,Y and U is the hi-hats. Experiment around with the sounds.
The easiest way to record your own tracks is to slow it right down to 40 on the metronome, and then record the bass drum first. Put it on the loop cycle just for that bar and record your next section and so on. To tidy up go to the scissors down in the bottom left hand corner and drag to the correct spot.
A bit about me: Megan has been involved with music technology and mobile learning for several years. Her focus was originally on using iPods in the classroom as a music educator but now is more focused on training teachers/admin on how they can use a mobile device in their daily lives and for their students.Megan was awarded the "Apple Distinguished Educators" award in 2006 in recognition of her passion and commitment to these two areas. She has presented for state, national and International conferences on mobile devices in the classroom and in 2008 completed her Cert IV in Training and Assessment so she could concentrate on developing materials for adult learning. Her latest projects include IWB training and ICT skills in the classroom for a variety of subject/year levels.
