Movies and Video Clips

Movies bring classroom content to life and can be an excellent enhancement to a personal finance course. FEFE provides the following active learning tools to help you integrate movies with personal finance content into your classroom. Some of these movies are rated PG or PG-13. Use the Parent/Guardian Movie Approval Letter template to receive approval from your student’s parents/guardians to show these and other personal finance related movies during your course.

Using Web 2.0 resources, Internet games, video clips and tablets in the financial education classroom.

Technology is easily integrated into the classroom and into many FEFE lesson plans. The following resources are provided to assist educators in incorporating Web 2.0 resources, Internet games, video clips and tablets into the financial education classroom.

· Technology Integration Options - This resource provides assistance for incorporating Web 2.0 technologies into the classroom. Teaching tips, instruction sheets, and alternative websites are provided.

· Internet Games Relating to Financial Education- Internet games are an excellent resource for the financial education classroom. This resource outlines some of the Internet games relating to financial education that are available for use by educators.

· Video Clips Relating to Financial Education - Video and movie clips are an excellent resource for the financial education classroom. This resource outlines some video clips relating to financial education that are available for use by educators. Instructions on how to use media converters to convert online video clips into files are included as well.

· Tablet Applications for the Personal Finance Classroom - Tablets can be easily integrated into many FEFE lesson plans. This resource recommends many applications to assist with integrating tablets into the classroom.

· Technology Integration Icon - The technology integration icon has been incorporated throughout FEFE lesson plans to indicate an activity that requires Internet and/or other technology use, such as computers, cameras, television, etc. Look for this icon if a technology focus is desired in your course. Learn about the FEFE icons by viewing the Lesson Plan Icon Descriptions.
