Cultures and Holidays Around the World

• I can compare and contrast life today with life in the past.

Unit Overview:

During this unit students will read and learn about different cultures around the world. Students will learn about cultures that are in our text book, but different cultures that are right here in our classroom! This will lead into learning about many of the holidays and traditions. Students will also learn where some of the holidays/traditions they celebrated started or how they have changed over the year. Students will finally choose a holiday they would like to know more about and conduct a small research paper on that holiday.
