The NYU Payment Card team will then send a follow up email confirming receipt of the card with the cardholder.
No appointment necessary; pick up FAQ.
Please forward this email to your applicable colleagues and faculty as needed. I have heard reports that some faculty did not receive email notifications, but the cards are available.

Activation Instructions from NYU Payment Cards:
You may use the old cards until October 29th and start using the new cards beginning October 30th.
New cards may be activated now. All the steps below may be completed now (download mobile app, set mobile alerts, create PIN)
1. We strongly recommend that your first step is to download the Bank of America GCA app and activate the card immediately. See pages 11-12 on the Payment Card Overview for Card Distributions - Google Slides. Why is the app important?
a. The app is used to set up Alerts such as:
i. Card spending – crucial for detecting unauthorized card use as soon as possible;
ii. Notice that your card has been suspended to triage w/ BofA to clear your card for use; and
iii. Cumulative monthly spend amount (set a minimum balance to not exceed monthly limit)
b. Other critical app features include card transaction feed and the ability to immediately Lock your Card if you suspect it is lost or stolen
2. You also need to set your 4-digit PIN number. This can be done on the Bank of America GCA website or by phone, see Pages 13-14 Payment Card Overview for Card Distributions 092223 - Google Slides
a. A random PIN is assigned to the card, you can change it to the 4-digit number you prefer
b. Please note that you will be asked for the 4-digit PIN at point of sale, particularly when traveling, e.g. in a taxi, or at a hotel
3. Please be aware that the address associated with the card is the NYU address below. You may be asked to verify this address at the point of sale or when speaking with the Bank helpline. Below are all of the identification points the bank has on file for you and your card:
a. Address: 194-196 Mercer Street, 9th Floor, New York, NY ZIP CODE 10012
b. Phone number = your work extension: e.g., 212-998-XXXX
c. Verification ID = your NETID, e.g., ab123
d. Employee ID = your "N Number" (back of your badge): e.g., N12345678
4. If this is your first NYU payment card you will be required to take the FIN 212 iLearn training course. You will be enrolled via email.
If you have any additional questions, please contact the team at payment.cards@nyu.edu.
Thank you,
Joe
