Summer Road Trip 2010

From July 17 to August 22, we (Max, Emily and Buzz the traveling cat) set out again on a grand adventure in our 1988 Sportsmobile. We chose to drive as much as possible on secondary highways and avoid interstates in an attempt to see more from the car and detour through some National Parks. We drove almost the entire way east on US 50 and a good stretch of the way back on US 2. Both were perfect roads with interesting towns, few cars with road-raging drivers and beautiful vistas. She had walked away from our campsite in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and after waiting for her to return for two days, we had given up all hope. So, from Spokane, Max and Emily parted ways, Emily flying to SFO to catch a flight to Cyprus and then Krakow to visit with her family, and Max drove back the 2,000 miles to get Buzz. We met back up in San Francisco on August 22 and returned home, with Buzz the nomadicat
