This is a very cool teaching tool. It is like a whiteboard that you could project on to your whiteboard.

Wait for it to load and then click on the tools at the bottom.

Send an Email to Create a Simple Webpage

posted Mar 14, 2017, 12:17 PM by Jeffrey Jones   [ updated Mar 14, 2017, 12:18 PM ]

How to do it...
  • Address your email to - page@publishthis.email
  • Put the title of your Website in the 'Subject'
  • Type out or paste the body as you want it to look. Be sure to remove your 'signature' text or it may show up on your Website.
  • Hit 'Send'
  • Wait for a reply with a URL for your Website
  • Copy the URL to share your Website. You can shorten it using 'Google URL shortener' if you like.
Of course, you wouldn't want to put anything private or critical on the Webpage for the public to see.

(You are supposed to be able to add a photograph or clip art picture but it didn't work for me.  See the LifeHacker article.)

Using QR Codes

posted Feb 9, 2017, 6:49 AM by Jeffrey Jones   [ updated Mar 24, 2017, 8:40 AM ]

Edutopia's article, 'QR Codes Can Do That?' says...

"There are tons of quick and easy ways to integrate technology into your instruction -- with powerful results. I've been a fan of Quick Response (QR) codes in education for years and even wrote a book all about how they can be used to promote deeper learning in your classroom. When speaking to teachers about these black-and-white squares, it's so much fun to see the "aha" moments as we explore different ways to use scannable technology in the classroom.

This list of five things that you may not know about QR codes contains some simple ideas that definitely pack a punch. These tips include strategies for differentiating instruction, distributing materials, and keeping families up to date on classroom activities. If you've tried one of these QR tips or have another to add to the list, the comments section of this post is the perfect place to share! "

QRstuff.com is a great Website to create QRs with. The picture below shows the many things that you can link to using QRstuff.com.

Create an Image out of a Quote or Words

posted Jan 5, 2017, 8:26 AM by Jeffrey Jones   [ updated Nov 13, 2017, 7:45 AM ]

Turn your quote (or words) into an image with www.Recite.com

This would be great for spicing up your classroom or for students to spice up their Graduation Project trifold!

Of course, if you want a nice PAINTING of your quote, look no further than Ms. Kokoski! : )

Attached is an example using a Michael Jordan quote.

QuotesCover.com is another one recommended by Nick LaFave. Click here for his instructions on using it.

Quozio is yet another one recommended by Nick.

What are some other good Websites that you would recommend for this?
