Laney H.S. Math Teacher extraordinaire shared a Book a review of 'The Classroom Chef: Sharpen Your Lessons, Season Your Classes, Make Math Meaningful' by John Stevens & Matt Vaudrey

"These two former teachers transform the classroom into a restaurant and students into your sous chefs in an effort to correspond aspects of our craft into something with which we (and they as students) can relate.

From appetizers, main entrees, side dishes, and desserts, these guys have a "multi-course meal" planned for jazzing up your math classroom.

Risk taking is encouraged, with many humorous anecdotes of their own personal experience to match (this was my favorite part).

Resources are plentiful and would require minimal work on the reader's part to retrieve and implement if desired.

The only draw back, in my opinion, is the practicality of implementing some of their suggestions in such large class sizes as we experience.

If you're looking for a fresh, out-of-the-box perspective, then this is a great read for you. :)"

Thanks to Ms. Barnard for sharing her book review with us.
