The Wellington Trades Academy is part of WelTec and allows students to remain on the roll of the secondary school, while studying for pre-trade certificates at WelTec.  Students also are able to complete their Level 2 literacy and numeracy requirements at the same time.

Pre-trade course places are also available at WelTec and Whitireia Polytechnic at the beginning of each academic year.  These function under the Youth Guarantee Scheme.  Please see the school Careers Adviser for more information.
