Applications must include the following information:
1. At least one letter of recommendation from someone familiar with your theatrical work e.g. teacher, director, mentor, etc.
2. GMT Scholarship Information Form
3. Maximum two page essay explaining:
a. Prior participation in Performing Arts activities
b. Why it is important to the student to continue in a field of the Performing Arts
Criteria for selection: intention to pursue education in Performing Arts, prior experience in the field, and financial need. All applicants must have volunteered or participated in local performing arts some capacity (can be anything from acting to ticket taking to tech, etc...). Those not applying online must deliver the application to their school counselor in time to meet the Scholarship application deadline of March 10, 2025. Counselors will forward applications to the GMT Board whose decisions are final. Selected students will be notified prior to graduation. In order to receive the scholarship award, selected students must show proof of enrollment in a Performing Arts education program, by February 28th of the year following graduation.
