Description: Created to support students who are interested in a career in law enforcement or probation (e.g.
police officer, probation officer, corrections officer, evidence technician, fire marshal,
community outreach officer, game warden, parole officer, public safety dispatcher, code
enforcement officer, bailiff, park ranger, etc.). This scholarship is awarded to Mendocino County
high school seniors or graduates. The scholarship is intended for individuals who are committed
to working in Mendocino County communities after receiving their degrees. Priority will be
given to individuals who have financial need and have demonstrated, through volunteer or
extracurricular activities, a desire to serve their communities. Students must intend to pursue
education at an accredited college, university or vocational school that will lead to a career in
law enforcement or probation. A 2.5 GPA or better is preferred.
