Fort Bragg Gardens Club Scholarship

Fort Bragg Garden Club is offering a $1,500 scholarship this year to a student entering a two-year program at Mendocino College with or without plans to transfer to a four-year program.

Students should create a cover page indicating they are applying for the Fort Bragg Garden Club Scholarship and complete the Mendocino High School General Scholarship Application. They should explain in an essay their interest and experience in agriculture, natural resources, environmental science, earth science, health, culinary arts, or other science related fields of study.

Mendocino College Coast Center offers classes in agriculture. Classes in culinary arts, earth science, health, and a natural resources class on environmental science can be taken on-line. The Ukiah campus conducts nine classes in agriculture as well as nine classes in culinary arts management. The CC Rider bus runs from Fort Bragg to Ukiah daily. Students enrolled at Mendocino College are eligible for free rides on MTA buses when they show the driver a student ID with a bus sticker on it.
