Alma & August Mendosa Scholarship

Created by Marilyn Herzog in honor of her aunt and uncle as a memorial to Alma Mendosa's 47-year career as a Mendocino educator, this scholarship is for Mendocino High School seniors who plan to attend four year colleges or universities.  Awardees are selected for their potential for academic success, their community and/or extracurricular involvement, their recommendations from instructors, community members and employers and their financial need.

Amount: $8,000 over four years ($2,000/year)

Requirements:  A 2024 Community Foundation online application, a high school transcript, and two letters of recommendation from instructors, community members or employers.
