Halloween In The Village

Post date: Oct 24, 2013 6:8:1 AM

Ghosts and goblins will soon be taking over the Community Safety Village of York Region in an effort to seek out tricks or treats at the 9th Annual Halloween in the Village.

Children will have a spook-tacular time at Halloween in the Village. Children under 12 will enjoy a haunted house and games while they trick-or-treat in a safe environment in our miniature village. Children and their parents are encouraged to attend in costume. Members of York Regional Police will be present to pass along Halloween safety tips to trick-or-treaters of all ages. Admission to the event is free but participants are asked to bring a canned food donation for the York Region Food Bank Network.

The Community Safety Village of York Region will host Halloween in the Village on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Everyone is welcome.

York Regional Police would like to remind all residents that Halloween night is great fun for children of all ages. It is the responsibility of us all to ensure they return home safe and we would like to remind all drivers to be cautious and alert.
