I grew up in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where I received both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education. I was also a member of the Michigan Marching Band, where I played the clarinet. After college, I moved to NYC and taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies. After a move to Colorado, I taught middle school and got a Principal certificate from the University of Denver. I worked for a few years as the 5th-8th grade Principal After my kids were born, I stayed home until they were in preschool, but then began working part-time at my previous school. I took on College and Career counseling as one of my roles. This led me to pursue a Master's in Counseling from Adams State University. I also am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate working towards my LPC.
I completed my internship at D'Evelyn and am so excited to support the social-emotional needs of our students. Both of my kids are D'Evelyn students and our family is a strong supporter of the D'Evelyn philosophy. Outside of work, I love to read, watch Michigan and Detroit Lions football, and travel to the beach.
I look forward to working with you!
