My name is Erin Ranum, and I am thrilled to be joining the D’Evelyn family as a high school counselor this year. I grew up in Colorado and graduated from Golden High School. Unfortunately, the founding of D'Evelyn occurred after my high school years, but my three younger siblings were all fortunate enough to graduate from D'Evelyn. I have fond memories of attending the ribbon-cutting celebration and first D’Evelyn Dash when the school first opened. After high school, I went on to earn a BA in Elementary Education, a minor in music, and a MA in School Counseling.
I have been a Jeffco educator for the past 21 years and have experience teaching grades K–4. During my time as a teacher, I developed a passion for building relationships with students and helping them to set and reach academic and social/emotional goals. This passion, along with witnessing the academic journey of my own amazing children, is what led me to shift my career in education from teaching to counseling. I am so proud and thrilled to be starting my counseling career at D’Evelyn. I am excited to help D’Evelyn students recognize their strengths, set meaningful goals, and fulfill their greatest potential.
My husband and I have two children (three if you count our beloved dog Zeke). Logan is a senior this year and Madeline is a sophomore. When I’m not at work I enjoy playing outside with my family, reading, everything music/arts, and traveling when time allows.
I work with students in grades 9–12 with last names starting with A–L. Please stop by any time or schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you!
