Girls Mentoring
What is Girls Mentoring? The purpose of Girls Mentoring is to provide support to our junior high girls through the leadership and experience of our senior high girls. Girls Mentoring creates a safe, yet fun environment to learn about D’Evelyn and make new connections.
How does it work? Junior high girls in 7th and 8th grade (mentees) are paired with a 10th, 11th or 12th grade female student (mentor). Each mentor/mentee pair is placed in a group with approximately 6 -8 other pairs. Each Group is led by a Group Leader (11th or 12th grader student) who will be responsible for leading the lesson plan, facilitating discussions and creating fun activities that help bond their group. We welcome 9th grade girls to get involved as Freshman Helpers who support the Group Leader.
Girls Mentoring meets approximately twice a month during 7th hour on Fridays.
