About Me:
I grew up in Colorado, and then attended Saint Olaf College where I played soccer and majored in History. After moving back to Colorado, I worked as a College and Financial Aid Advisor with the Denver Scholarship Foundation for many years, helping students to make their college dreams a reality. During that time, I also earned my master’s degree in counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and became a licensed professional counselor as well.
I moved into school counseling, where I knew I could bring my experience in college counseling but could also support students in a more holistic way with academic and mental health needs, which all go hand in hand. I’ve worked as a high school counselor for 6 years now, and I’m very excited to be here at D’Evelyn. The liberal arts foundation is one I experienced in my life with great appreciation, so I’m thrilled to be in a place that approaches education with such intention. I see my job as a guide, where I can walk with students, helping them navigate the many opportunities ahead of them at this pivotal time of life.
Outside of work, you’ll find me with my family, chasing my son around, and working in our garden which inspires lots of cooking projects, and lazy naps in the hammock. I look forward to getting to know you!
