Google Classrooms

The implications of remote learning have led to the counseling department needing to create innovative ways to communicate with students and a new platform to provide their comprehensive counseling curriculum. The counselors have created google classrooms for every grade level. Every student will be required to join their respective grade level classroom. Each student will receive an invite to enjoy their classroom, however, if they did not receive an invite or they misplaced the code, please have them contact their appropriate counselor to receive the classroom code.

The google classroom will be a place where counselors will share information with students about what is going on around the counseling office, college visits, military information, career information, and directions on how to complete their yearly ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Planning) activities. There will be assignments posted in each classroom (around 2-3 per semester). The counselors ask that students do their best to participate and complete the assignments. They are not graded and they do not have hard deadlines, but they will need to be completed before the end of the school because they are required by the district.

The counselors are hoping that the classrooms will help promote a sense of community, and provide students with another opportunity to support one another. At least through first semester, their entire grade will not be around each other in one area. These google classrooms are created to provide students a chance to be in a school environment as a whole group. If you have any questions about the google classroom or the material that is provided in each classroom please contact the appropriate counselor.
