Female Internal Pelvic Anatomy Collaborative Activity
Descriptive Summary: The anatomical structures of the female internal pelvis are complex and challenging for medical students. This collaborative activity is designed for a classroom setting where students will first, take a pre-test on pelvic anatomy, second, work together to identify key structures using two different modalities to identify anatomical structures (virtual dissection software and anatomical models) third, apply their learning by constructing an illustration of the critical structures. A post-test will allow assessment of the activity. Subjective student feedback suggests that this activity is helpful in promoting deeper understanding of the female pelvis.
