After teaching the structures and functions involved in blood flow through the heart, this call-and-response method is a way to get the students to put the steps into words. You ask the questions, and the students respond. I draw an easy diagram to point to if the students hesitate at a step. As you repeat the call-and-response with them from the beginning several times, the students will naturally start to go over all the steps without your questions prompting the next step. I have them repeat from the beginning until they are quick and confident, and then a few more times. If they write all the steps down in order, they will write an essay describing of the pathway of blood flow through the heart.
