Le Petit MasterChef Begins!

Grade 8s will be working between Science, Foods, French and Math to create their own unique baked good recipes. Last week we learned about the science and properties for basic ingredients, this week it's about how we mix them up! Students will learn about how ingredients, in the correct ratios, when mixed a certain way, will produce delicious baked goods! Today we learned about Pound Cake and Sponge Cake and the students recorded observations of samples of each. Before the end, we will sample cookies, angel food cake, pastry, biscuits, pate a choux and bread... yum!
