Turkey Dinner!

When I first started teaching Food Studies I began a tradition that has become one of my absolute favorites!! My grade 8 students prepare and enjoy a complete Turkey Dinner for the holidays. Each kitchen is assigned a side dish - they prepare it fully, and the next day we heat it all up, I come in early and make a nice big turkey, we all sit together and enjoy the meal. This was our 4th annual Turkey Dinner and it was a hit! Love the smiling faces, love how much the kids appreciate the work that goes into a big meal and love that the kids enjoy the feast together!
