This is where you will begin to develop YOUR game. I can't stress enough to:
Write down all ideas you have; you can always choose to not include them if you don't want to or add them back in at a later time.
Communicate with your group. You need to have a discussion and talk about your ideas. This is how new ideas will ignite and how your game's questions will start to have answers.
Show everyone's personality in the game. Each group member should contribute to the overall idea of the game.
Create a new game I haven't heard before, not a different version of a game that already exists (like East Amwell Monopoly for example).
Check out these websites to get an idea of different aspects you will need to think about before you make your own game:
Use the worksheet on the right to start writing down your ideas. You will want to answer essentials questions like:
What is the overall goal of the game?
How does someone win?
Are there challenges or obstacles?
How do players move?
What happens during their turn?
And more...
During the Brainstorming process, you will also be required to keep paper notes and sketched out ideas on paper. You can sketch out what the board will look like, cards, characters and more! You can keep all your items in your group folder.
Once you have your idea set, be prepared to present it to the class in Google Slides. Refer to the slideshow below for all your requirements for the pitch.
