Assignment- Web Trilogy

The Slide Show of 3

"Creating a PowerPoint like a website we is."

In this PowerPoint assignment you will create a slide show that informs the audience of a group of 3. The subject matter will be your choice that relates to your overall topic, but the three parts must relate AND you must provide information on each part.

For example, I could create a presentation on J.R.R. Tolkien's epic trilogy The Lord of the Rings. The 3 parts of my presentation is the story lines: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King. I could then inform the audience about the plot and major events of each part in my sideshow.

The major point of your presentation is to inform the audience about how the 3 parts relate to the whole & something they didn't know about if before your presentation. We will also be learning how to overlap text with images and shapes, and how to create links within our own presentation. Just like you are able to create different buttons that will take you to different parts of a website, we will do the same in our Power Point.

Instructions:

Here are some of your slide requirements:

  1. Title Slide- Include the title of the project, your full name, grade and class).
  2. Main Page/ Homepage- This will contain your 3 parts: here you will have 3 labels overlapping 3 images or shapes.
  3. Info Pages- You will have 3 separate information pages. Here you will include the specifics for each part.
    • Remember- You don't want too much information. You will be presenting them, so just have the basics and you can elaborate on them when you are speaking.
  4. Works Cited- You must provide sources from where you found your information.
    • This means you need to cite text/ research AND any photographs you put in your presentation!

  • Test the link to see if it works properly.
  • Once you create a hyperlink on an object, you can Copy it then Paste it on other slides and it should retain the hyperlink (although you should test it to be sure).
