Social Studies Fair

Never in the history of our school had ESOL students participated in the Social Studies Fair before 2007. Working from a qualitative perspective, my students learned that they had much to contribute to the field of Social Studies.

Impressively, several Coile Serves students won at our school-level competition. Our intelligent group participated at the regional level (held in Gainesville, and were the only minority students competing, despite being a town with a 50% Latino population) and two students went on to compete at the state level!
