In this unit we used a CAD software called Sketch Up. At first it was more complicated than the previous software, Tinkercad, that we used in seventh grade. Our task was to build a Greek Temple using a set of skill we learned through a PowerPoint. Some of these skills included the push/pull tool, the measurement tool, the rectangle tool, and the offset tool. After we built the basic temple based off of the PowerPoint, added touches were needed to make it our own. Here's what my final product looked like:
Another tool in Sketch Up that helped make this temple my own was the paint tool. With it I could change the material/color of any object. I made my temple stone and the alters with the Greek Warriors marble.
The 3D Warehouse is one of the advanced features on Sketch Up. It allowed me to search for something more complex like this Greek Warrior and be able to use it in my creation.
This fountain is my favorite part. I made it by myself with the circle tool along with the offset, push/pull, and paint tool.
