Citing Sources

Cite all sources you use, including images!

The databases provide citations that you can copy and paste. Our school subscription to NoodleTools.com is another great tool. Use your Spyponders account for access.

Citing E-Books

Some of our e-book providers like Gale provide ready-made citations, just like the research databases. For others, you will need to create a citation.

Cite an e-book just as you would the print version, with a little added information about how you accessed it. A basic citation for The Gilded Age looks like this:

Curley, Robert. Renewable and Alternative Energy. New York: Britannica Educational Pub., in Association with Rosen Educational Services, 2012. Destiny Discover. Web. 15 Dec. 2016.

If you are only using a single chapter of the book, include the name of the chapter after the author:

Curley, Robert. "Harnessing Water: Hydropower." Renewable and Alternative Energy. New York: Britannica Educational Pub., in Association with Rosen Educational Services, 2012. Destiny Discover. Web. 15 Dec. 2016.

In EasyBib, choose the Book tab, click the Manual Cite link, and then the Online Database tab. Complete the form and add to your works cited!

New E-Books Are Here!

Tip: Don't miss high quality e-books purchased for YOUR assignment! Our e-books use the same username and password as the databases.
