Eagle Mountain Lake Parade Of Lights that was held on
December 5th, 2015
Greetings Lake & Land Peeps And Happy Holidays.
The Parade of Lights last Saturday night was a huge success. The turnout was quite large. A lot of people came out to Watch and Participate in the 2015 Christmas Boat Parade of Lights! I could hear a bunch of you from shore cheering us on. It went so well, and we are already getting ready for next year! So go ahead and mark your calendars for the first Saturday in December of 2016. Everyone looked great, and the boats were Amazing. The boat God's were definitely on our side. I didn't have to tow anybody in, LOL.
Like I did back in 2009. Yes, this poor old girl above had to be towed in by me and now she sits in dry dock in this condition.
Wow! In a few short years she went from a Parade of Lights participant to this.
Everyone involved in the Parade of Lights was a tremendous help! Especially
Stephenie Slimp who organized it and pulled it off. Thank You to SAVE EAGLE MOUNTAIN LAKE

We want to apologize to the lake peeps whose houses we didn't get to go by and the marinas on the north end of the lake. I couldn't risk boats running aground past Pelican Island even though the lake is at full capacity. I myself can navigate through these waters but other participants that I had to beg to be in the parade could not in some cases. But in the future their are a bunch of public places on the lake for you and your family to view. Augies, Lake Country Marina, Boon-Docks, the Fort Worth Boat Club front lawn are just a few places you could get up front and personal to view. Also, I didn't want to risk my sailboat contingent on running aground with their drafts at 7 1/2 ft. They were a vital and important part of our parade as some of you saw. Nothing looks better than a string of lights strung down from the top of the mast that you can see a mile away. If you've never been out on the water at night it sometimes can be very difficult navigating through it especially with Christmas lights that can be blinding for a captain to see where he's going. My sailboat contingent in some cases had no relief from the cold. I would like to personally thank them:
