2017 "Burning Man" Island Event held back on October 14th, 2017
"Burning Man" Island Event held back on October 14th, 2017 @ Pelican Island on Eagle Mountain Lake
A truly fun night was had out on Pelican Island for our 3rd Annual "Burning Man" Party. Attendance of the membership was an all time high. The weather and the atmosphere turned out perfect. As they say, the stars were aligned perfectly. Everlasting memories were created and some revisited from the past. Mainly from our past president of the Eagle Mountain Classic Boat Club and the creator and architect of this event 3 years ago: Andy Butchard who we lost back in August 2017. He will continue to live on in our hearts and souls as we will continue to carry on the traditions he helped create and carry on his vision of the club. A banner dedicated to him is in a photo below.
Some of the happenings to the event are documented in the Facebook link below:

A big shout out to these members
Starting with this group of members who were the first to get to the island and start.
To the peeps that brought food to share with everyone.
To the peeps that spent their own money for things that we needed to pull it off.
To the boat captains that spent gas money to shuttle people to the island and made sure no one was left standing on the island all alone.
And to others that helped with the cleanup afterwards and that went back the next day in the cold & wind which were: Gary Files; Paul Auger; Jacob Macias.
At least 7 full bags of trash
Also, Trey Tabor & Daren Weeks who went back on Monday to do a final look over.
Before we could get this party started this had to happen
