Banana Nut Bread (Pillsbury)

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup softened butter

2 eggs

2 mashed bananas

1/3 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom only of 9X5 or 8X4-inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs; blend in bananas, milk and vanilla. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In small bowl, combine flour, nuts, baking soda and salt; mix well. Add to banana mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour into greased pan. Bake at 350 F for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes; remove. Cool completely on a wire rack. Wrap tightly and store in refrigerator.
