Cheating and Plagiarism

Plagiarism and cheating on tests and homework strictly prohibited. Students caught plagiarizing and or cheating will not be allowed to make up that particular assignment. 

The act of cheating is considered but not limited to: 

Copying another student's written work. 

Looking at other student work.

Non verbal or verbal communication during independent work.

Passing notes of any kind during independent work.

Frequently leaving your seat during independent work. 

Your eyes are not on your own paper during writing assignments of any kind.

Sign language or lip speaking to another student when it is supposed to be silent. Using your cell phone or any electronic device or technology to obtain answers.

The act of plagiarizing is considered but not limited to:

Copying and pasting information that is not your own without citing your sources. 

Stealing other students' work and claiming it is yours. 

Students that are caught more than once cheating and plagiarizing will be given a referral to administration. Students caught plagiarizing will receiving a U in cooperation and work habits.
