Attendance and Participation:

When you do not participate in practices or rehearsals for unexcused reasons such as forgetting your instrument, choosing not to play without an excused from home or medical, or choosing to do work from another class, you miss out on instruction and feedback which makes you and your group better. You must be fully engaged in the lessons and participate in more than 80% of practices and rehearsals to perform for a concert or festival regardless of ability. Too many non-participation days will result in an alternate assignment rather than the concert. Excused or unexcused, should you miss any rehearsals or practice, you must come in for additional help during nutrition or lunch or set up after school tutoring with Mr. Cruz.
