Judy Jeffrey, President of the BVGC; Linda Neymeyer, General Chairman of the Standard Flower Show; Geri Hoerner, Chairman of the NW District Meeting; and Brent Heath from Brent & Becky's Bulbs, Speaker.

"The flower show and the district meeting were great successes. Linda Neymeyer and her crew spent hours and hours in preparation, pleading, setting up and tearing down a fabulous flower show. The entries were beautiful and many comments from those visiting supporting the outstanding entries. The district meeting was one of the best I have attended. It started and ended on time with an agenda that was managed efficiently. Geri Hoerner did such an outstanding job that she has been asked to help plan an upcoming state meeting. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESS OF THESE EVENTS!"

Judy Jeffery, BVGC President

"The result of all the time and devotion that so many of you contributed was a flower show that we can be very proud of. After many months of effort by the committee chairs and so many others who helped and prepared for each of the areas required to put on a large flower show, in a matter of hours the reception hall and auditorium at the Shewmaker Center were transformed into showrooms of colorful, educational exhibits that caused people to stop and say 'WOW!'.

I know many of you made several trips to the college to contribute your help and items, especially those who left late on Monday and again on Tuesday afternoon sore and exhausted. Thank you so much for all your time and hard work! I hope you were rewarded by the very enthusiastic reception from our visitors on Tuesday, as well as sincere praise by the Accredited Flower Show judges, who have viewed many flower shows, and from Mayor Christie, who commented that it would be more appropriately called an 'art show'. I saw some college students return to view the exhibits more than once and many visitors taking photos. Members from other clubs who attended the NW District Meeting were excited to enjoy the addition of the flower show and for some we provided their first flower show experience.

The judging panel appointed by AFGC Flower Show Chair has determined that the show received a score exceeding 95% using the Scale of Points required to apply for the NGC Flower Show Achievement Award. My applause and appreciation to all who contributed so much to make "Ozark Autumn Memories" such a success!"
