Spring Trip - 2019

The group visited three wineries in Altus, AR by bus and tasted a variety of their wines. At Weidekher Winery the group enjoyed a history talk, tasting and lunch. There was a brief stop at a scenic overlook at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Many of the 80 year old pines had been damaged by a recent storm. Then it was on to Post Winery for another tasting and a tour. The last stop was the Mount Bethel Winery for a final tasting and tour and stories of how Great-Grandma ended up in prison during prohibition. She had 12 children and said it was the best vacation she every had.
