The Bella Vista Garden Club held its annual Card Party from noon to 4:00 pm on Friday, March 16th at theBella Vista Community Church. The meeting room was filled to capacity as more than 220 members and guests gathered to play a variety of card games. Lunch was provided by the BVGC. Val Courter served as Chairwoman for the event and Val Bell served as Co-Chair. Mayor Peter Christie attended the event, welcoming attendees along with BVGC club president, Judy Jeffrey.
The Card Party serves as an integral component of BVGC’s fundraising activities. Proceeds from the event are used to fund the Bella Vista Garden Club Dorothy Wallace Scholarship program for area students studying horticulture or related subjects at Northwest Arkansas colleges and universities. Dorothy Wallace served as the first president of the BVGC when it was established in 1972.
