AFGC Spring Conference

April 5th and 6th was the AFGC (Arkansas Federated Garden Club) Spring Conference, which was held in Hot Springs. NGC (National Garden Clubs) President Mary Warshauer installed the new officers for the AFGC. AFGC. President Terri Waterman, handed out the 2022 Awards. Julie Spear presented a program “Fun with Flowers.”

Ann York NWAR District Director spoke on the plans for the Mid-Year Convention, which will be July 31 - August 1, 2023. The conference theme is “Stepping Into The Past” and it will be held at the Fairfield Bay Conference Center. This two-day conference will feature a fun and educational agenda that will include an AFGC Petite Flower Show and wonderful vendors such as local artists and the well-recognized pottery work of Catapla Lane from Ohio. All Garden Club members are invited to attend.

The BVGC was well represented at the Arkansas Federated Garden Clubs Northwest District Meeting on October 3rd.

State of AR Federation of Garden Clubs Conference

Benton County was well represented at the State AFGC Conference in Jonesboro AR August 8 & 9th with members from Bentonville, Rogers and Bella Vista Garden Clubs in attendance.
