Tiger Academy uses school culture data, assessment data, and strategic planning to analyze the learning environment, learner achievement, and the institution’s effectiveness. We use bi-weekly leadership meetings, professional learning communities, early release day trainings and curriculum committee meetings to plan and implement professional learning. Data from the School Improvement Plan is analyzed for professional development topics based on the school’s needs for each year. In addition, teachers were given an opportunity to be a part of a master’s cohort at UNF. Through this program, Tiger Academy has been able to improve the learning environment and learner achievement through action research and inquiry projects.
