As a Professional Development School (PDS), teachers at Tiger Academy are encouraged to explore a variety of instructional techniques and practices through action research and inquiry projects. These individual teacher inquiries into practice include developing a wondering, researching strategies and resources that address the wondering, implementing change, collecting data, analyzing the data to develop findings and implications, and sharing the results with the other teachers in the building. Teacher inquiry cycles are just one way that the Tiger community continuously assesses its programs and organizational conditions. The faculty also engages in multiple culture/perception surveys throughout the year and uses student data to drive instructional decision making.
