Purpose: Make a slab mug that demonstrates connecting slabs securely, creating and attaching a handle, and illustrates a personal narrative. This should be done through the handle, textures, added-on features and/or glazing.
Reflection: include your responses from the prompts above, minus the questions.
Planning: include a photograph of your sketchbook planning for this project
It tells a story of when our great aunt came to live with us for a few months, and it was very endearing to us because we hadn't seen her in a while. America is just to show where she came from (California to Maine) and then Iraq to the right is where she went to afterward. There is a cane since she is old, there are many hearts because we love her and text that says Ata because that's what we call her in our native language. I think one thing that was tough for me was I was on a time crunch, if I had more time it would be better. Also, adding more elements connecting/explaining about her would be better. I think it's overall clear enough for me and that's good since it's a story/mug for me.
