Purposes:Â
To learn how to visually communicate a message through Graphic Design.
To demonstrate the creative process in designing a logo.
To use creative problem solving skills to design a clear, original, and effective logo that represents the YHS Library.
My original three designs were a computer on a desk with books and a pop-it, a computer with various things on the screen, and a book with various things on the pages. For the first design, I removed the pop-it and the desk, turned the desktop computer into a laptop, and put various windows on the screen. For the other two designs, I kept the concept of various things that represent the library scattered around, but I put them into the folds of a brain to make it look like the brain was interacting with the items, as opposed to just having a bunch of random things on a screen or in a book.
