Description:  Get hands on experience of how an educator uses classroom management and strategies to help you be effective in a classroom. Explore instructional strategies used in today’s classrooms. Explore higher order thinking and learn about differentiated instruction and how it affects students learning. Practice the art of planning by using state and national curriculums to create lesson plans and meet the needs of future students.

Description:  Students will explore the exciting world of teaching, examine what it means to be a teacher and participate in field observations. This course is a prerequisite to elementary and secondary license programs in the department of teacher education at WSU. Class taught at high schools as a pure concurrent class. Students must register for Concurrent Enrollment WSU EDUC 1010-3 credit hours. Personal transportation is required for field observations.
