Description:    Cybersecurity lays a foundation for understanding cyber law, ethical hacking, Linux, networking basics. risk assessment, incident response and digital forensics, and a variety of tools used in the cybersecurity industry.   

You will also learn all the essential knowledge to begin a future in cybersecurity. We will also discuss cybersecurity career paths and how to further develop your skills in these areas. This class will also prepare students to take the CompTIA Security+ Exam.

At the end of this course, you will:

• Understand the concepts behind cybersecurity

• Practice cybersecurity skills in a safe setting

• An understanding of the history if cybersecurity

Description:  This course places an emphasis on the principals of computer science with minimum programming. Creativity, abstraction, data, algorithms, security, internet, and problem solving are topics discussed in the course. Students will use python, the easiest programming language to implement certain skills. Students will become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and computation thinkers. This course will help students gain a competitive advantage in future careers. (10th grade recommended) but all grades can take this course.

Comments:  It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED students take Computer Science Principles before taking this class.  Not a substitute for 10th grade math 

Description:  Students will learn to design, code, and test their own programs using the Java Programming language. They will apply mathematical concepts as well as programming concepts. They will learn complex algorithms, such as data structure, to create powerful programs. Recommended for those who enjoy critical thinking or problem solving. Course is better suited for those who have completed, Web Development 1, Computer Science Principles or have previous coding experience.

Description:  Students will learn about video game history/platforms, game type interfaces and the game design production cycle. Students will be engaged in creating their own video game. Students will become problem solvers, critical thinkers, and great collaborators. Recommended for those who are thinking of pursuing a career in game development or enjoy programming.

Description:  Student will learn the fundamentals of front-end development. They will learn technologies such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript. They will engage themselves in creating and maintaining a personal website. Recommended for those interested in Web Design or students wanting an entry level programming experience.

Description:  This course should be taken if students ARE NOT that familiar with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  They will learn beginning and a few advanced concepts.  This course will fulfill the Digital Literacy graduation requirement.

Description:  Students should have a sound understanding or already be familiar and know the basics of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. This is a college level course and the class will move quickly. This course goes more in depth with word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation software. Students will learn how to integrate applications learned within each other.   This course will fulfill the Digital Literacy graduation requirement.
