Worland- Students and spectators are looking forward to the 2026 soccer season, which got underway when practices started on March 9th for both boys and girls.
Jesus Davila, WHS Girls head coach, said he wants his team to focus on skills and falling in love with the game.
“I want to continue to build on the growth that we made,” Davila said. “last year we embraced the idea of “Narrow the Gap.” This allowed us to focus on growing and falling in love with the process rather than being results oriented. So this year, I'm excited to see the growth the girls will make as a team.”
Davila started coaching in 2012 and began to coach in Thermopolis. Davila volunteered as an assistant coach with the boys program Spring of 2013. The following year, he became an official assistant coach on the boys program, and he served there until Spring 2023 when he moved over to the girls soccer program as a head coach.
