Worland - The Worland High School Boys Swim team is off to a solid start for the season with several boys setting a personal record (PR) in competition. They’ve travelled to Powell, Worland, Cody, Riverton, Jackson, and Lander.
“So far, we are doing very well,” said WHS Coach Brain Aagard. “The swimmers continue to cut time, and the divers have set PRs.”
WHS sophomore Keegan Scott placed 3rd overall both days in Worland and beat several seniors. Sophomore Zach Davis set a new PR as well.
“I PR’ed on Friday with a forward 2-and-a-half front flip dive,” Scott said.
Aagard said he hopes to see continued improvement and better scores from all individuals.
“With the amount of swimmers we have, it will be hard for us to place well as a team, but we should have some success as individuals,” Aagard said.
The team is heading to Buffalo to compete the weekend of January 30.
