Worland- Spring Golf has teed off, and the team competed in the first golf meet of the season on Friday April 10th. The Warriors focused on improving specific skills to succeed last week.
“We have been working on putting, and chipping, and driving, "said freshman Anna Siegfried.
WHS Coach Benjamin Hofmann also encouraged the team to “Improve our short game and improve our golf.”
There are 20 Worland students on the team, including eight middle school students, in addition to high school students. Bolen Barthelmess, Dawson McDonald, Anna Siegfried, Corbin Yule, Jack Hoopes, Briley Trauntvein, and Johnny Kiser are the Competing Worland Golf Team. According to Coach Hofmann, they will be golfing at most of the schools in the basin.
This season, "we will go to Powell, Cody, Buffalo, Lander,” Hoffman said.
Siegfried noted that students compete individually in the spring, not so much as a team. She also said that she is proud of lowering her score by 20 strokes.
