In this standard, students are expected to pose a question, collect data, analyze data (including representing data in a graph), and interpreting data. Students should be posing questions that yield categorical data with up to four categories (e.g., eye color, favorite dinner food, age, number of pets at home, etc.). Students are expected to interpret data in a graph to answer questions such as: the total number of responses, which category had the most/least responses, and differences/ similarities between the four categories. Students solve problems using the data in a graph. The range of numbers for these one-step problems is within 100 since it intersects standard NC.2.OA.1.
