Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
'Practice makes perfect' is a phrase I am sure many of us have heard in our lives. Although it is arguable whether perfection is indeed achievable, thoughtful, well-planned, careful and regular practice most definitely makes for super improvement! All Willington students are experiencing this as they continue to develop their skills in various musical areas, including instrumental playing, singing, theoretical knowledge, ensemble skills and individual musical challenges. Some of this learning will be on display in upcoming performances, while much will continue to form the basis of many years of musical development - hopefully all proves fulfilling and satisfying as children evaluate their musical progress over time.
RECITAL
On Tuesday 4 March at 4.30pm, we will be holding our second Recital of the academic year. Open to all children in Reception to Year 6 who wish to perform a musical item, the APPLICATION FORM should be completed before the half-term break begins. Should the concert be oversubscribed with performers, priority will be given to those who have not yet participated in a Recital, but be assured I will try to fit in as many children who want to perform as I can whilst considering a sensible running time.
